If you’re a relative, don’t read this!

I think it’s pretty safe for me to post a few completed gifts here – I doubt the recipients would be reading.  I enjoyed these little projects and finished pretty much everything I had hoped to make with time to spare!  Here are a few highlights:

chevalier finished

Pattern: Chevalier Mittens
Yarn: Patons Merino, almost exactly one ball
Notes:  Love this pattern!  I took out one repeat at the top and probably would have done the same for the bottom had I realized how long the wrist parts are.

tree finished

Pattern: Oh Christmas Trees! (Seussy Tree)
Yarn: Mission Falls 1824 Wool and some Paton’s Merino and SWS
Notes: Also a fun pattern!  I bought a toy wooden wheel to use as the base and it seemed to work out well.

fun fur trees

fun fur forest

Pattern: Fun Fur Kitschmas Tree
Yarn: Homespun and Yarn Bee Party Girl!
Notes: I made a little forest of fun fur trees!  They don’t stand up so well because I didn’t do anything to flatten the bottom, but they’re pretty darn cute!

There is at least one more gift, but I’ll write more on that after the holidays.  I probably won’t check back in until 2009, so hope everyone has a nice New Year!

Cute trees – and beautiful mittens. I hope your holidays are wonderful – See you next year. (Maybe I will be finished with the cardi by then.)
